Kids Fair Collection is a non-profit organisation founded in Athens in 2017, operating at national and international level. It implements creative volunteerism initiatives for children and adolescents through educational and cultural programmes supporting peers growing up in vulnerable conditions.
Kids Fair Collection engages residential child protection facilities and primary and secondary schools, addressing two distinct beneficiary groups as direct and indirect participants respectively. Through structured volunteerism programmes, the organisation facilitates interaction and collaboration between children from different social contexts, promoting inclusion and social cohesion.
Its initiatives introduce children and adolescents to volunteerism through the use of surplus textiles, combining educational, cultural and environmental objectives.
By integrating creative production and upcycling into its programmes, the organisation contributes to the development of empathy, civic engagement and equal participation among children and young people.
The works created by student volunteers—ranging from patterns and drawings to carefully crafted pieces—are specifically designed and adapted to the age, needs and interests of the children who receive the final creations. Through this process, products made from surplus textiles, such as garments, toys and small-scale artworks, are produced, carrying the children’s personal imprint alongside the values and social mission of the collection.
Implementation is carried out by the organisation’s team and partners, promoting the creative use of resources and a responsible approach to environmental sustainability.
At Kids Fair Collection, we encourage children and young people to take part in volunteer activities that support children from vulnerable social groups.
In the “Kids to Kids” initiative, children design and make items for other children, using creativity to connect, share and build a sense of inclusion.
It is the first non-profit organisation to support an initiative that collects fabric in excellent condition from both companies and individuals, serving a dual purpose. The initiative aims to reduce textile waste while using the collected fabric to design and create high-quality items for children up to the age of 18.
We promote the development of human networks and social solidarity with the aim of supporting children regardless of their origin, ethnic background, religion or disability through volunteering. It also our intention to support the most vulnerable refugee group – the unaccompanied minors.
Kids Fair Collection seeks the cooperation of other stakeholders either local or international, individuals or corporations legal entities in order to materialize its dream and its participation in pertinent National or European projects in order to materialize its dream.
